Materials & Care
14k Gold
Our 14k solid gold pieces are made to last a lifetime. 14k gold will not oxidize or discolour, so you can wear your jewelry all day - everywhere and anywhere.
CARE:
When your 14k gold jewelry needs a clean - scrub lightly with a soft-bristled brush, warm water and detergent-free soap. Buff gently with a clean cloth and store your pieces in a safe, dry place when not worn.
Sterling Silver
We offer 925 Sterling Silver which is an alloy made of 92.5% pure Silver and 7.5% Copper. The added copper makes the silver more durable and less soft. Some of our Sterling Silver products are also plated with original rhodium for extra durability. This is noted in the product details when it is included.
CARE:
Remove your jewelry before exercising, washing your hands or showering. Always apply perfumes, creams and hair care products before wearing. To clean - polish gently with a silver cloth. Store in a safe, dry place when not worn.
Gold Plated Sterling Silver
This is not to be confused with Gold Plated on brass. Gold Plated Sterling Silver is a thick layer of 18k solid gold on sterling silver. The biggest difference between our Gold Plated and Gold Plated Sterling Silver is the material that the gold is plated on and the karats of the gold used. Sterling Silver is an elevated plating material and adds to the durability of the piece and quality of the piece.
CARE:
Remove your jewelry before exercising, washing your hands or showering. Always apply perfumes, creams and hair care products before wearing. To clean - buff gently with a dry cloth. Store in a safe, dry place when not worn.
Gold + Silver Plated
Brass is the base metal used for the majority of our plated pieces. The brass is electroplated in 16K gold or sterling silver. This is a similar idea to the process of gold plated sterling silver however the base metal is brass instead of sterling silver.
CARE:
- Avoid contact with beauty products (perfume, hairspray, deodorant, makeup etc.)
- Remove your jewelry before swimming, bathing or showering.
- Clean your jewelry by wiping with a soft, moist cloth and ensure the piece is dried well. Avoid harsh detergents and do not use jewelry cleaner on plated pieces.
- Store each piece separately– the best way to store your necklaces is to hang them.
Freshwater Pearls
Freshwater pearls are all unique in shape and color. They have somewhat of a whimsical appearance due to their organic look and feel. They grow up within an oyster or mussel in fresh water and are deemed to be natural pearls.
CARE:
Remove your jewelry before exercising, washing your hands or showering. Before you store your freshwater pearls after wear, wipe them with a soft cloth to remove any debris they may have attracted throughout the day, keeping their ridges clean.
For dirtier pearls, try cleaning them with a damp cloth and some mild soap. Make sure you let them dry thoroughly before storing.
All of these materials can last a lifetime if taken care of properly.
